Welcome to the Book of Conts, the thing you never knew you needed… Until now!
If you are here then you are (probably) in the FFUK WhatsApp group. Good job by you on that.
Pete and Chris started the group with a few mates but it has grown exponentially and now over 110 of the league have joined, meaning it has exceeded any expectations we ever had. With that, we have had to introduce some rules so that everything runs smoothly.

Put simply, as long as you remember that this is a football group and keep it football related then you will be ok. Please also remember that not everyone knows each other and we have fans representing 24 different clubs from all around the country.
But this post isn’t all about rules and codes of conduct it is also a helpful tool.
Below is a glossary of terms that we use regularly in the group. This is handy for all of us but for any newcomers to the group it will introduce you to lots of emojis and acronyms that we regularly use. So if you are searching for answers to questions like “Why do they keep posting a horse emoji?” then you are in the right place.
THE GAME
First lets turn our attention to to FPL itself and a few abbreviations that may be useful, some of these are more prevalent than others:
- Ass = Assist
- NAG or 🐴 or 🐎 = No Assist Given
- WGTA= Who got the assist?
- GW = Gameweek eg. GW1
- DGW = Double Gameweek eg. DGW37
- TC = Triple Captain Chip
- BB = Bench Boost Chip
- FH = Free Hit
- FT = Free Transfer
- WC = Wildcard
- CS = clean sheet
- OOP = Out of Position
- POO = Reverse Out of Position
- 🧤 = Save as in good save/big save
- 🍟 = chip
- 📺👁️ = VAR
THE PLAYERS
This game is all about the players and some of them are harder to say than others. Therefore we have abbreviated many of them. In no particular order:
- KDB = Kevin De Bruyne AKA The Ginger Prince (Man City)
- DDG = David De Gea (Man Utd)
- PEA = Pierre Emeric Aubameyang aka Auba aka Bubba (Arsenal)
- OGS = Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer (Man Utd)
- RLC = Ruben Loftus Cheek (Chelsea)
- VVD = Virgil Van Dijk (Liverpool)
- TAA = Trent Alexander Arnold (Liverpool)
- DCL = Dominic Calvert Lewin (Everton)
- CHO = Callum Hudson Odoi (Chelsea)
- JWP = James Ward Prowse (Southampton)
- AWB = Aaron Wan Bissaka aka The Special Wan (Man Utd)
- KWP = Kyle Walker Peters (Southampton)
- VDB = Van De Beek (Man Utd)
For some players we can just use Emojis:
