The end of the season is fast approaching and in the midst of blank gameweeks and doubles to come, our thoughts also turn to the Summer. What will we do with ourselves in the off season? What’s worse is that there is no major tournament for us to get our fantasy fix from this year…
Fear not though FFUKers, we are planning an END OF SEASON DO, the likes of which have not been seen since last year! What, When, Where, Why? See below, SAVE THE DATE and let us know you are coming!
WHAT
It’s the second END OF SEASON DO! After last years success we thought we should do it all again. We expect, that with an additional 80 FFUKers in the league, this season there will be record attendance on the night. There will be Awards! There will be Curry! There will be Beer! And there will be Pete too! What’s not to like? Last season we had the League Champion Paul Baker in attendance and we hope to do the same again.
Following the evening there will also be the opportunity to continue the celebrations at a local late night venue, more details soon.
WHEN
The END OF SEASON DO will take place on Saturday 3rd June 2017. What a night! This is the evening of the Champions League final which I predict will be between PSG and Man City.
I will happily organise a sweepstake on the evening for everyone to take part in. In terms of timings we would anticipate a 6pm arrival so we can order food before the football but we will confirm all the details nearer the time.

WHERE
We have provisionally booked The White Bear in Rickmansworth. It’s a cracking pub which serves Indian food and shows the football too. We can have our own private area for up to 30 people and for no additional charge too.

We need your RSVPs as soon as possible and if we are expecting 30+ people we will need a bigger venue. I am happy to hire somewhere so just let us know if you can make it please.
In terms of location we are looking at the Watford area as this is relatively close to where many FFUKers live and it is also reasonably easy to get to by car or public transport. If people would prefer a London location then let us know when you confirm your availability. The reason we have not planned it in London initially is that would require a firm grip on numbers and a paid deposit although suggestions of alternative venues are welcomed.
WHY
Why the FFUK not?
RSVP
Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to attend and if you have any queries about the location also let us know these at the same time.
EXTRA BITS
Accommodation: I know there are a couple of Premier Inn Hotels nearby which offer rooms at about £60 per night (I may well end up doing this myself). Let us know if you want to be included in any hotel booking or alternatively book your own.
Any other questions please just let myself or Pete know….
Thanks and see as many of you as possible on 3rd June!
