This season we are changing it up slightly and each day its a different predictor that will be telling you what they think is in store. 5 Premier League predictions and 6 for FPL. Let’s go.
Next up it’s Ian Galloway, the man that started this league and ran it for its first few years. Ian, or Dad as I call him, is a lifelong Chelsea fan with a best ever FPL finish of 16k. Check out his predictions below:
Q1. What will the top 4 be at the end of this season?
1st Man City / 2nd Arsenal / 3rd Newcastle / 4th Liverpool
“Not inspiring selections but hard to oppose. Tried to put Arsenal first but my computer auto-corrected it, hard to oppose my computer!”
Q2. What will the bottom 3 be at the end of the season?
20th Luton / 19th Sheffield Utd / 18th West Ham
“In my opinion Luton do not deserve to be in the Premier League as their ground is still unfit for the Premier League. It should have been offered to a team that was. Sheffield Utd will struggle all season at the top level whilst West Ham who have arguably sold their best player in Declan Rice will also struggle.”
Q3. Who wins the golden boot (top goal scorer) in the PL this season?
“Erling Haaland – With Harry Kane unsure of who he is going to play for and Ivan Toney banned for the best part of the season it is hard to see anyone is going to score 20 goals plus apart from Erling Haaland”
Q4. Which team will do much better than expected this season?
“Aston Villa did well last season and I think they will continue to improve under Unai Emery. Their new signing from B. Leverkusen, Moussa Diaby will be a useful player out on the right wing.”
Q5. Which team will do much worse than expected this season?
“Chelsea – This is a hard prediction for me (as a Chelsea supporter) but last season they were dreadful, buying non effective players throughout the season. They have sold many players since the end of last season including a few useful players and replaced them with players who have yet to prove themselves at this level. I hope I am proved wrong.”
Q6. Who will be the top scoring GK this season?
“Martinez (Aston Villa), following my prediction above on Aston Villa.”
Q7. Who will be the top scoring DEF this season?
“Kieran Trippier (Newcastle)? A repeat of last years performance?”
Q8. Who will be the top scoring MID this season?
“Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) – A good season last year, surely can only improve.”
Q9. Who will be the top scoring FWD this season?
“Erling Haaland (Man City) – No brainer?”
Q10. Which player will be the surprise package next season?
“Kai Havertz (Arsenal) – Never got going at Chelsea last season but with the right support that I think Arsenal have, he will do well and surprise quite a few.”
Q11. Which player will be the biggest disappointment next season?
“Mason Mount (Man Utd) – A disappointing season last year, I think he will find it hard to recapture his form from the previous season.”
