GW2 REVIEW – One way or another
Welcome to the Gameweek 2 review – One Way or Another
Good evening from sunny Bournemouth FFUKers, I hope everyone is strapped in and ready for another roller coaster season!
There have been some significant changes at FFUK towers where the admin crew have been working in the background to continue to improve the quality of the content we send your way as members of the best Fantasy Football community there is!
Pour a brew or grab a beer and enjoy the latest additions to the Weekly Review.
The toughest decision of the week was who to captain, the ever dependable Norwegian Meat Shield or the man that a number of the community have chosen to live without … The FPL legend himself Mo Salah!
Those who opted for the latter were rewarded… kind of !! When Salah converted the rebound of his saved penalty, i believe the maths in the Whatsapp group worked out as -2 +5 net +3 …. bloody Mo! 3 missed pens on the trot now, is Klopp considering his options with the dependable MacAllister in his armoury? A number of managers were then left hiding behind the sofa as Haaland made the trip to the North East on Saturday night. With his first blank of the season disappointing the 107 managers that gave him the armband.
Now as promised some new content…
First up we have the FFUK hall of fame from GW2 with Mark Tarbox leading the way at the top of the table with 170 points amassed in 2 weeks!!! This has him currently placed with an OR of 908 in the world!!! Incredible teckers!!
Alex Kassner (AKAS) is leading the way financially with some astute signings delivering the most valuable club accolade.
And as with any good story we have the “hall of shame”, with John Gordon propping up the league vying for the wooden spoon.
We also have a new style top 20 leader board with some great insights to digest for the statos 🙂 Shout out to Dan Humby in 2nd place after an excellent start to the season!

Then there is the “bullseye” table, “here’s what you could have won” … based upon the scoring prediction models, congrats to Dan Hepworth on selecting statistically the best team.

Richard Willis Hutchinson was the manager who made the biggest move after Gameweek 1 climbing an astonishing 160 places!
Great performance from James Nalepa on the transfer front selling KDB and bringing in March proved to be a master stroke generating a +15 point differential. Commiserations to Yves Pichon who sold Dias and brought in Ake for a -7 point swing #painful.
Transfer corner.
Now onto the infamous CONTS league.
Our second victim of the season is the unfortunate Trevor Dennison who managed to score 34 points even with Salah Captain, Rashford doing him no favours at all. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
We are also now pleased to have announced the structure and prizes on offer within the CONTS league, click here to see all the info for this season
Its been a pleasure to bring the new look Gameweek review to you all, keep an eye out in future weeks as there are a lot more nuggets still to come from FFUK towers.
Good luck in the new season.
