WELCOME TO THE GW17 REVIEW – FRENZY
Frenzy
def. a state or period of uncontrolled excitement or wild behaviour.
Its Frenzy time FFUKers. Try to control yourself and your transfers. Its about to get wild but before we all start over egging the pudding we need to review GW17.
After a very unusual incident in the Bournemouth Luton game where Tom Lockyer collapsed on the pitch, the game was understandably abandoned. Tom is thankfully out of hospital and recovering. But the game was left in limbo while FPL waited for a PL announcement. All sorted now, the points are gone, auto subs came in and the game will be replayed at a later date.
With time short and a barrage of football upon us this will be very short, and sweet. There is a total of 29 matches coming our way over the next 13 days, i think that is best described as a frenzy.
Goals were scored, assists were awarded (but not for Saka), bonus points were won, a little rest then the long wait for auto subs. Its all done now. Lets check to see who is set best for the festive fixtures.
Mark Tarbox (1st) still leads the way and I’ve heard from a reliable source he is spending his whole Xmas locked in a room away from his family working on his Wildcard with a cheeseboard and a box of wine. Good luck mate, i look forward to seeing what is produced on boxing day!
Scott Hassell (196th) was our manager of the week scoring 84 points emphasising the depth of this league. No ghost teams here.
Tom Mallinder (33rd) was our biggest riser moving 35 places up with his score of 82.
At the other end of the scale we find Alex Sadlier (163rd) who falls 47 places after scoring just 29 points.
Time for an eviction in the CONTS

The unlucky FFUKer to go this week was Rod Watson (143rd) who managed just 31 points and finds himself evicted just before Xmas. Bad timing but you can focus on what is important. Mince pies.
Quick reminder for anyone that hasn’t heard yet, The winter of disCONTent is upon us… its about to get even more brutal than ever before over the next 3 GWs with a whopping 36 FFUKers set to be evicted over Xmas. That’s 12 each and every week for the next 3 GWs. What’s that noise I hear in the distance? is that Roy Browne preparing his his bucket of hits to get him through this period.
Thanks to everyone for reading. It just leaves me to say Merry Xmas to everyone in the FFUK league all around the world. I hope you enjoy yourself over the festive period. Eat, drink and make sure your fantasy team is equipped to deal with the festive frenzy of fixtures we are about to experience.
Look after yourself and each FFUKer,
Merry Xmas
Chris, Once more with Gusto (20th)
