GW21 REVIEW – TIME MOVES SLOW

WELCOME TO THE GW22 REVIEW – TIME MOVES SLOW

The longest GW in living memory is now over. Time Moves Slow right now in FPL. It takes the patience of a saint to not go early with transfers as we await the passing of time, and with time comes information, we hope. This is a very strange month with just 2 GWs taking place so we are in effect half way through it now. Thanks to one of my fav artists of recent years, BADBADNOTGOOD, who provide the much needed musical inspiration this week.

Does anyone even remember the GW starting? It was almost 2 weeks ago and it was Burnley Luton so you’d be forgiven for forgetting about that one. Then stuff happened, i lost track to be honest so this review might help us all remember what the FFUK went on.

How many of this lot did you own this week?

As you can see from the team of the week above, there were some well owned players in there so if you were on the wrong side of one of these it hurt. Oh and a certain Kevin is back, which is a massive boost to the game. Where have all the premium picks gone this season?

With no Salah, who was off getting injured at Afcon, it was time for Jota (19) and Nunez (11) to step up and offer us alternatives in the coming weeks.

And in the Arsenal game it was Gabriel (17) and Martinelli (14) who did the business and in the process taunted those of us still stuck on Saka (3) and Saliba (6). Its a painful game sometimes, especially when the GW is dragged out like this one.

In the FFUK league Jason Beale (1st) is still showing everyone how it’s done but Mark Tarbox (2nd) wont let him pull away and is keeping him honest.

3 managers made the 100 club this week…

Congratulations, firstly to Stu Lord (44th) who top scored with a massive 108 pts this week, incredible scoring with Nunez captain (22), Palmer (10), Martinelli (14), Gabriel (17), Jota (19) and Richarlison (8) all returning, if you want to see what his team looks like its basically the team of the week!!!

Congrats also to James Simpson (33rd) who played his WC this week for a return of 103 points thanks in no small part to his captain Jota (38).

And last but not least well done to Danny Burgess (22nd) also played his WC for a rather impressive 100 points, once again captain Jota (38) made the difference. I hope i can achieve a similar score when i play the WC.

Reminder: Make sure you are signed up to receive weekly FFUK stats if you haven’t already here

Highest squad value in the league right now goes to Stu Allen (112th) with 107.3m. At the other end of the spectrum we find Seb Klyen (223rd) with just 99m.

The aforementioned Stu Lord (44th) was the biggest riser in the league moving up 56 places. Helen Cronin (81st) was the biggest faller dropping 43 places.

Stu lord also leads the way in the MOTM scores with just one GW to go. See the current top 10 below:

And finally we have an eviction to announce…

This week we say goodbye to Danny Hardwick who mustered just 37 points. As someone who didnt get much more than that i share some of your pain. We go again.

In fact we go again next midweek and its another single eviction in the CONTS until GW24 where we have our next event, the Valentines Massacre where 7 conts go.

For now, look after yourself and each FFUKer,

Cheers

Chris, One More With Gusto (23rd)
