UPDATE – END OF SEASON DO & EURO FF

Welcome

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. It feels like we’re in a bit of an in between place doesn’t it? Its silly season in the tabloid papers. Everyone is looking to cherry pick Leicester’s crown jewels. The Premier League season is over, the Euros are yet to begin. No updates. Nothing to update. I stopped checking the FPL page about two weeks after the end of the season, it hadn’t changed at all for some days. And then when I went back to research some stats for my Euros team, it was gone, FPL is closed for the summer.

Well fortunately for you, FFUK does not close. We’re on it, we’re on the pulse, checking the buzz, feeding the fire, 24/7 and 365 baby.

So what’s on? Well in just a few hours (exactly how many is dependent on when you read this), the Euros will be upon us. That means 2 things:

  1. The FFUK End Of Season Do is happening this Saturday. See below for more details including timings – hope to see as many of you there as possible.
  2. The deadline for Euro 2016 Fantasy Football is almost upon us. We have a 15 in the league at the moment but there is still time for you to sign up. More details below.

FFUK League Code: 00768P5A

FFUK is running a Euros league, and there’s still plenty of room for more players. Splendid. Come and join the fun! It will mean you can watch Albania vs Switzerland with a vested interest and if this is is not enough reason then I don’t know what is. Oh yeah you can win money. And personal pride. There is always that too.

For more information see the previous posts about the game, how to play and Pete’s Punts.

See below for a pic of the Albanian national team – recognise any of them? Neither do I… yet.

Entry is just £5 and prizes will be announced once the league is closed. Please make sure you have arranged payment with either myself or Chris before the competition gets underway.

Notably, you can change your team up to the last minutes before the kick off of the first match each day. This means you have until Friday’s France game whick kicks off at 8pm GMT to sort out your teams and get them entered (be aware that the UEFA website will probably get very clogged on Friday night so the earlier you are sorted the better). Don’t miss out!
