As the Gameweeks come thick and fast under Project Restart I’ll be writing short posts to update the community on how things stand.
As a reminder, prior to lockdown, we left the FFUK Cup and Milk Plate in their quarter-final stage. This round was to have been contested in the March Gamemonth, consisting of three Gameweeks – the first the those, GW29, had been played prior to lockdown. These Cups continue to progress with the new Gameweeks assigned to the old Gamemonths, so:
- Quarter-Finals/March Gamemonth = GW29, GW30+ and GW31+
- Semi-Finals/April Gamemonth = GW32+, GW33+, GW34+ and GW35+
- Finals/May Gamemonth = GW36+, GW37+ and GW38+
Each re-calculated Gamemonth will work in accordance with how Gamemonths are traditionally reported – most importantly that hits taken in the first week of the Gamemonth (or cup round) DO NOT COUNT. Thereafter they do, and hits are subtracted from scores.
With the conclusion of GW31+ the quarter-finals have finished and I can report the final results as follows, with winning managers in bold:

The managers therefore progressing to the semi-finals of the FFUK Cup are: Justin McCarthy (2), John Willson (58), Paul Baker (1) and Jamie Stephens (4). With three of the top four in the league involved, certainly John will be the pick of the neutrals!
In the Milk Plate Pete Cronin (34) progressed by a slender margin of just four points. He’s joined in the semi-finals by Nick Johns (12), Ben Carter (3) and James Downie (142). As the only manager not on page 1, James will be the neutrals favourite in this competition.
The Milk Plate draw through to the final has already been made so we can announce that the semi-final match-ups will be:
- Nick Johns vs Pete Cronin
- Ben Carter vs James Downie
