We are delighted to confirm prize money for the 2020/21 season. We have 246 paid up players which means a prize pot of £3690. Thanks to everyone for signing up again, you all did brilliantly and we got so close to last season’s total which, when you consider the reduced time we had and the fact that the world is a very different place right now. Chatting over the water machine with your office mini league competitors seems a way off. But back to the matter in hand lets see what we are offering this season.
Before we get to the amounts lets summarise what stays the same before we announce some brand new prizes!
The Top 20 in the league will all be paid out, we did this for the first time last season and it really makes sense as finishing in that top 20 is where we should all be aiming. We have kept those really big prizes for finishing at the summit too. Oof.
Another prize we introduced last season was the £50 MOTM prize each and every month, these will be updated on the MOTM page on the site as the season unfolds.
The Best GW Score is another favourite and gives us all a chance to win right up until the end of the season. There will be 3 prizes. Lets call them 1st, 2nd and 3rd. And you will have to submit your best scores to us as in previous seasons. For more information check out the Best GW Score page.
Once again we will have 3 cups to compete for with a total of 8 cup prizes on offer, just like last season. Paul Baker AKA Mr Cups will be in charge of these once again and has already provided an update explaining just how these will work. Click here to read that CUPDATE in full.
OK so those are the prizes that basically stay the same but here at FFUK we like to get better and better each year. So we have introduced a couple of new prizes!
And not just one but two new prizes for this season. We loved the climax of last season and the craziness of GW38 so Pete and I thought “how can we make this even better?” so we have decided to offer a £50 prize to the highest scoring team in GW38!
We also have another new prize, courtesy of James Page-Chatton, read about that, and more, after the big numbers!

We also have another brand new prize, suggested and very kindly sponsored by James Page Chatton. He will be running a “JUST MY FFUKING LUCK” prize. Here it is explained in his own words…
Having been the subject of some of the unluckiest FFUKing gameweek in FFUKing history (most recently a Mane triple captain fail for 3 points due to injury!). I decided that I needed to create a new prize so that one “unlucky” FFUKer can restore some confidence in their own“Luck”.
Here’s how it’s going to work –
If you score the lowest game week score where 11 players have featured and scored points (including auto bench transfers). The winner will have the chance to win their £15 entry fee back. BUT! Here’s the kicker – you need your luck to win the prize with a toss of a coin! (during end of season do or end of season video round up).
11 players must score feature and score points
You must submit your low score to me for verification
Your score doesn’t include minus points for transfers
So, if you have one of the FFUKing weeks where you are having a “Jason Beal” and feel like you wanna quit the game. Just remember – it’s a long season and those amazing Two Chairman and bunch of Conts (contributors) ensure there is always something to play for.
PRE SEASON PRIZES
As you may remember we offered some prizes in pre-season for those that helped us the most in signing up new recruits. We had 78 new players join the league so thank you to every single FFUKer who recruited a new player, this is how we grow and we are incredibly grateful to every single one of you for your efforts. But special thanks (and the prize) go to Daron Russell who recruited the most new players in to the league this season with 12 referred. Incredible skills and Pete has sent your prize in the post, we would love to see a pic when you get it!
Next up we promised a prize for best team name. This was a hotly contested competition, some great names this year but we made a shortlist and then Pete and I debated the best. I can confirm that our chosen team name to win was “ONE FLEW OVER LUKAKUS NEST” which is the team name of Rob Latuske. Rob please get in touch with your address and we will send your prize out, again we would love it if you can send us a pic once you receive it.
Finally we offered a couple of pre season prizes for guessing the price of FPL players when they were added. We did this with Gareth Bale and Kai Havertz in the WhatsApp group.
Gareth Bale was priced 9.5 MID and the person who guessed that correctly was John Parkinson. Kai Havertz was prized 8.5 MID and the person who guessed that correctly was James Simpson. Good work chaps – can you both let us know your address please and we will send your prize out ASAP?
As usual we are running a couple of side games so we should announce the prize money for these also.
Firstly, we are once again running the CONTS mini league but this time we have 60 players who have each paid £5 to enter on top of their FFUK entry fee. That means total prize money of £300 for that one. The top prize for this one is therefore £250 with a £50 donation to Football Beyond Borders in your name.
Secondly, Mr Side Games AKA Tim McEwan is also running the exclusive FFUK H2H league for the admin team (invite only). This is £10 entry on top of the FFUK entry fee with a prize pot of £190. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 as follows: 1st £100 2nd £60 3rd £30.
That is it, all the prizes are announced, we can crack on with the rest of the season now.
Good luck to you all, as always all prizes will be paid out at the end of the season.
In the meantime look after yourself and each FFUKer.
